CommentsWhat a great job in getting our reunion started Randy. I'm really excited! Thanks so much. The web site was a good idea. Ruth (Atcher) Hawkins.
CommentsWhere does the time go--It was nice to find out that a web site has been set up to keep intouch with each other. Concerning the Reunion, after 45 years it would be nice to get together and get to know how everyone is doing. My opinion on the place would be some where we can relax and get to know and enjoy each other again. David Toombs
CommentsI have been in contact with Raymond Tallent and James Lindsey and we all agree that we won't attend the reunion if tux and gowns are the dress code. I myself would like the reunion to be within 30 miles of the school. Ralph Perry
CommentsRalph I kinda thought you and James would look good in gowns...not sure about Raymond
CommentsWilkie and I are thrilled to hear about the reunion. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Thanks Randy for all your hard work! Linda Cecil
CommentsI was so happy to hear from Sandra Taber today and thank you Charlotte for giving her the clues that helped her locate me. After running across photos from our senior class trip a few weeks ago, I've been thinking about all of you a lot so I am pleased that we are planning a reunion. I don't care where we meet or what we do as long as we get together. I totally trust those of you who are planning our event and thank you for taking the time to track us down and do the work necessary to make this come together. Marcia Woodring Eblen
CommentsI think a casual, byob, get together would be more fun that getting all "fluffed" up ................... Kaye Smith Negri Randy, thanks for organizing this world event
CommentsI am excited about the reunion. It is great reading the mail and to hear from so many thus far. Please leave your e-mail address so we may communicate. Bobby Sheroan
Comments
CommentsRandy, the response is amazing. It looks like everyone is nostalgic * for a reunion. -Nostalgia- " A form of melancholia caused by prolonged absence from one's home- - severe home sickness" You're the man of the hour. Great job. Michael Gatrost in Kansas City.
CommentsBobby's idea of including our e-mail address is a great way for us to get reacquainted. Hope to hear from each of you. Michael
CommentsIf anyone wants or needs classmates addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, just ask and I'll send it to you. You can use the reunion e-mail address vg62reunion@usaky.com for this request.
Randy
Commentsglad to hear about reunion hank mattingly
CommentsFor all who might be interested in going to the Selbach on June 29th, I spoke with Michael G. and dressy attire would be acceptable with the tuxes and gowns, if you prefer not to be Cary Grants or Audrey Hepburns for the evening. Thanks Michael for giving us something to have fun with. Sandy (Taber) Nichols
CommentsJudy Ray, Brangers I married Pat Circle in 1991. He died when a building colasped on him in 2000. I have four beautiful daughters and eight even more wonderful grandchildren(3 boys and 4 girls, one step- granddaughter, who has baby, making me a step great-grandmother, and a step-son who is married and they have 2 children. In 2003, I married Sam Brangers from Rineyville, who is several years younger than I. He has three daughters who live with us, ages 21, 16, and 14. He also has 2 older daughters, so between the two of us we have nine daughters. Hope to see everybody on the 30th of June. Judy Ray, Brangers
CommentsHi, Sounds like fun to see all the faces from years ago. See you on June 30th. Judy Ray Brangers
CommentsLove reading the comments and checking the guest book for new ones several times a day. Keep them comming. Ruth Atcher Hawkins
CommentsThanks Randy The Reunion is a great idea, and you have done a great job putting this all together. I don't care were we have one, just as long as we all can reunite, and get to know each other all over again. Looking forward to June James Lindsey
CommentsClassmates, I just finished talking to Lowell Scarboroughs wife. She told me she lost him 8 years ago to cancer. We had a long talk about old times. Hank Mattingly
CommentsWho posted the picture of Joann, Joan and me on the site? The three of us obviously were quite pleased at the thought that we might be women. Marcia
CommentsI was pleasantly surprised today when Sandy's letter arrived telling about the reunion planned for June 30th. I'm sorry that it took so long to find me. My husband and I moved to The Villages in Florida four months ago, and it truly is a great place to live (minus the tornados please!) I am excited at the thought of a 45yr. reunion, so will try to attend. Sharon Keith Zirnis
CommentsLetters and Questionnaire are going out in the next couple of days. You can also find them on the home page of this site. Reunion committee meeting are lots of fun. Randy

CommentsRandy, love the voting items. Thanks! Sandy
CommentsMartha - How long have you lived in San Antonio? I lived there for 1 year at Ft Sam Houston in 1968. Things there have changed a lot since 1968 but what beautiful city. Will you be coming to the reunion? Marcia Woodring

Would love to hear from anyone. I have so much fun reading these comments. And what a great idea to have this web site. Randy "Thank You". Shirley Griffee Blehar
CommentsGood to hear from Class of '62 and thanks Randy for keeping things rolling since I talked to several of you (7 of us) at the 2005 Vine Grove Annual Reunion at Alton School. Sorry I havn't been too helpful since my operation, but I also talked to Lowell Scarborough's wife (2005) and she told me she lost her "Sweet Lowell" 6 years ago. Look forward to getting together with everyone in June. George Earl
CommentsHey Mark, I know it's a long way from Mexico (I was on the east coast of Mexico in 2004 impersonating a golfer) to "Big Time" Vine Grove, but hope you can find the time and don't expect me to give you a bite of my "Baby Ruth" candy bar (Just because I did in the 5th grade) if you do make it. George Earl Meyers
CommentsHey Everyone! I'm having such a good time emailing you. I hope you enjoy it too. Seems as though everyone is really looking forward to seeing each other and reminiscing about growing up and raising our families. The reunion committee will be meeting again about the middle of March. Also, pass the word on that even if you aren't planning to attend (and we sincerely hope that you will), we want you to return your Questionnaire telling about yourself. Please!!! try to attend -- we all want this to be a successful event for all. Sandy Taber Nichols

Comments
CommentsHello out there, Has everybody gone on vacation? Some new information would be nice. Haven't heard from anybody for a while. Get those questionaires sent in? Everybody is going to have a good time at the reunion.
CommentsClassmates: I would like to say Thank you for the flowers, calls, e'mails and prayers while I was in the hospital. I am out and my heart is back in rhythm. They have changed my medicine and I think I will be ok. Thanks you. Hank
CommentsHi Gang, Greetings from Bev (Leonard) Gray. Sorry I'm so late in checking in! I'm really looking forward to the reunion. I've talked with Sandy Nichols and Hank Mattingly and so enjoyed catching up on their lives. Can't wait to talk with other classmates. Hopefully Bill and I have made our last move. (I married Bill Gray, class of 60, who you may remember. He was my high school sweetheart and still is!!!) We both have had corporate careers that have required too frequent moves. We just made a move on our own, but it is to by near our grandson. We have one daughter, Michelle, age 32. She is married and has the sweetest and cutest little boy, Nathan (18 months), that you have even seen!!! (Grandma is not at all prejudiced.) I retired and Bill is semi-retired. We are enjoying our long awaited grandson and love to travel. Guess the moving around got in our blood. (ha) I just returned from Israel and I'm brain dead and have jet lag big time. Can't wait to see everyone. Would love to hear from you.
CommentsClassmates, time is getting close. If you haven't sent in your reservations or questionnaire, please do so quickly. We want everyone to attend, if possible, but we also want to know about you if you're unable to attend. Our goal for the future, is to stay in touch with each other. CommentsGreetings from Montgomery, AL, Hasn't this been the fastest 45 years in history? Good to hear from you on the website. Sorry, I can't make the reunion. My husband, Ronny and I retired in 1999. He retired from the Post Office, and I retired from teaching elementary school. We are enjoying retirement and our grandchildren. We hope to relocate to Birmingham, AL soon to be closer to our them. We have 2 sons, Mark and David. Mark and his wife, Mary have 4 children. Mark is a Pastor and Biblical Counselor in Birmingham. David just got married last year to Tammy. He is a senior at Auburn University-Montgomery. He will graduate with an Information Systems Degree. I was very impressed with our classmate, Wilkie Cecil, who built a beautiful house for my Aunt Wilma and Uncle Bob Hepp on my grandmother's farm in Vine Grove. Hi, Linda. Hello to everyone from Sandra Eubank Shaw.
CommentsHats off to Randy and the committee members for a very enjoyable class reunion. I can't imagine anything that could have been done better ( Well, we could have worn tuxes) Just kidding. This was a special class, and reminded me how much I care about each of you. Hope everyone keeps in contact. Michael and Julie Gatrost
CommentsHi Everybody! Here I am keeping my usual late hours. Thanks to Randy and the committee for a great reunion. As time goes by our bodies may change and our circumstances may change but one thing never changes and that is the love we all have for each other. Best of luck to all. Ron and Lesley Blissett
CommentsWhat a wonderful Weekend Thank you Reunion Committee Classmates, I love you all Martha
CommentsWhat a fabulous weekend!!!! It couldn't have been any more wonderful. It was great seeing everyone and catching up. What interesting people we turned out to be. A million thanks to the committee. You did a great job of planning events that made everyone feel so comfortable and at home. Thanks to Brenda, Gary and Shirley for opening up your lovely homes to us all. My love to all of you and God's blessings to each and everyone. Marcia Woodring
CommentsI would like to thank all of the classmates who came to reunion. It would not have been successful if you had not came. I really had a good time and I believe everybody else did to. We will be thinking about and working on the next one. Thanks Hank
CommentsRandy, you did a great job of putting Brenda's pictures on the website. Hope everyone will check them out, and see just how much fun we had with classmates, teachers and "Elvis". For everyone that didn't attend, you missed a great evening, and a memory that will never be forgotten. We hope you will join us next time, and attend the 50th for another special occasion for all of us. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to help with the 45th reunion. I loved every moment of it. Sandra (Tabor) Nichols
CommentsClassmates: I have heard that Nancy Castle Felice is very, very ill. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Her address is in our memory book. Ruth Atcher Hawkins
CommentsIt was nice to see all who were able to come to the reunion. It was fun. My only regret was not having enough time talking to many who could not be there more than one day. Hopefully we'll have a chance in the future. A big thanks to all who helped making things go smoothly and donations helping with expenses. What a "great" group of classmates I happen to be a part of. George Earl
CommentsThe last of August is here. Have enjoyed watching dvd of class reunion. Thanks again Ruth for it. It is really nice. Hope to catch up on talking to some more classmates. It is really going to be nice to watch dvd this winter when it is cold and snowy outside. Wishing everyone health and happiness the rest of the year.
CommentsHELLO CLASSMATES, The DVD's that Brenda O'Brien made for you, and were mailed to you this week, are showing some problems with some DVD players. We have determined that the DVD+R is not compatible with all players, or maybe older players. Hopefully you will be able to find someone's player so that you can view it. Sorry about this! Sandy Nichols

CommentsHi Classmates, Thank you for your prayers and encouragement the past few days in the loss of my mother. We were blessed to have her several years beyond medical expectations and though we miss her terribly have faith that she is pain free and in a better place. Most of you probably know of my broken kneecap. I got the cast off 8/11 and have an elaborate brace that will be with me for at least six to eight weeks. I start therapy tomorrow (8/22). I am fortunate that my break was vertical rather than horizontal, otherwise I would have had the cast for a full eight weeks. Again, thanks for your prayers. For those of you that were able to come by the funeral home while we were there I want to say a special "thanks". It was a difficult time and your presence helped tremendously. I don't have addresses for several of you to send you a personal note, but want you to know I really appreciate having you there. For those of you who couldn't be there but were remembering us in prayer, a big thank you. Prayer got us through and continues to sustain us. Hope all of you are in good health and enjoying wonderful summer activities.
CommentsOops! Guess it would help if I signed those previous comments. Sorry about that! Beverly Leonard Gray
